In search of free eye exam?

To be honest, I assume we were all made to be blind because with the cost of an eye exam, the cost of frames, and the cost for your lenses, I don’t see how anybody could possibly afford to see. The frames and the lenses are enough to bankrupt somebody alone, but then to add on the actual exam, that’s madness. So why not take the exam fee out? Why not save yourself from madness? Well, why not? What do you have to say for yourselves? That’s what I thought! So now that you’re interested, check this out.

Now, we all hate paying for something that should be a right, am I right? Of course I am, so what we’ll need to do is this, find the nearest program that allows for free eye exams. Programs such as the Lion’s club offer free eye exams. Another thing to look for would be free eye exam coupons. Browsing through coupon books or newspapers, you could easily find a number of eye exam coupons.

Times are tough and it’s understandable that people don’t want to pay for things such as an eye exam. It’s honestly unfair to the people of this Earth to have to pay for something that you’ll have to live with for the rest of your life, bad eyesight. Basically, what I’m saying is this. Don’t settle for the doctors that work in the eye exam places. Don’t succumb to the terrible prices they pledge are discounted.

Companies such as lens crafters have set out to give the buyer, meaning you, the best deals possible for eye wear. Honestly, you deserve it. Its tough enough working every day, barely stay afloat, barely making the money to live your life the way you want to live it. It’s tough, and we all know that, so again, I can’t stress this enough, do not succumb. Work harder to find that company that will give you a break, work harder to find the company that will pay for your eye exams, or at least put a dent in the payments.

There’s literally a ton of stores around that can provide for free or extremely low cost eye exams. Wal-Mart, JC Penny, Lens Crafters, Pearl Vision, and Empire vision centers are just a few of the many companies that are working towards helping people see clearer. These companies are trying to cut costs and make wearing glasses more affordable. Free eye exam coupons are provided as well as discounted frames.

If you’re in need of discounts that will benefit your eyesight, then looking up these sites would be in your best interest. For instance, Walmart contact lenses is one that is ideal for families with tight budget.

The truth of the matter is that spending money is never fun. We’d all like for everything to be free, unfortunately we all know that nothing in life is free. For this reason it’s truly up to you to find free eye exam coupons that will help you cut your expenses down to size. There’s no harm in a little research. After all, imagine not being able to see, you wouldn’t even be reading this article right now.

Designer Glasses Combine Style And Functionality

The glasses or sunglasses that you wear can make a huge difference to your image and the way people see you.Glasses are not purely a functional thing to help you see more clearly, they also say something about your personality and individuality. You want to know that your glasses look great on you as well as being comfortable and functional, and for this reason more and more people are choosing to go for designer frames.

There is no end to the number of different frames available in a neverending selection of colours, materials and shapes. The choice sometimes seems overwhelming. With designer glasses, the image you want to project is probably the consideration. For work wear a more sensible and plain style may be more appropriate. If you want to make a statement and go for bright unrestrained glasses there are dozens of recognised designer brands out there, including Prada glasses for example that combine an intrinsic sense of style with the name recognition that is more of a fashion and lifestyle statement. Whichever way you lean, choose designer glasses to suit the shape of your face and not just your outfits or your desired social standing. The same is true when choosing designer sunglasses.

People with a square face look best in oval shaped or round glasses.Smaller, rounded or square frames suit those whose face is narrower at the bottom than the top. Avoid styles that are wider at the top as these will accentuate the face shape rather than balance it and look at styles without decorative detail on the temples as this will have the same effect. People with a round face and chin can get away with wider styles. Styles that have small round shapes and very large frames will make your face look rounder and should be avoided.

If your face is a basic oval shape with a slightly wider forehead, curved jaw and high cheekbones you’re lucky and can take your pick of any style as most will suit you.Wide frames with a strong upper line will suit faces that are long, with high cheekbones and a deep forehead.Oval faces are nicely balanced by large square frames, although small squares should be avoided. If your forehead is narrower than your jaw then bolder, more adventrous frames will look good on you, but you should avoid narrower styles.

With designer sunglasses in particular, remember that, aside from making you look good, the primary role of these items is still to protect your eyes from the harmful effects of UV radiation. If at all possible try the glasses on before buying to be sure of the comfort and style.Lastly never forget that although a designer label is a fashion statement, at the end of the day it’s only your own opinion that matters, as long as you feel comfortable with your choice it’s the right one!

Eye Exams

For anyone who has had a severe issue with their vision or has had a serious eye problem knows just how important it is to maintain the health of the eye. These cases always are always riddled with a certain sense of regret by individuals who wish they could have caught their symptoms earlier. Eye exams that are performed by a school nurse or your employer are not the same as a comprehensive eye exam given by a certified optometrist. An optometrist will screen your vision thoroughly for eye and other diseases that can lead to vision loss. Treating these complications early is an essential reason to visit your eye doctor on a regular basis. An eye exam is a series of tests performed by an optometrist accesing one’s ability to focus on and recognize objects within a field of vision as well as other tests and examinations related to the eyes. All individuals should have perodic and thorough eye exams as part of a routine primary care, especially since many eye diseases are dormant and can be chronic, relapsing or remitting. Or in medical terms asymptomatic. Eye examinations may detect potentially treatable blinding eye diseases, ocular manifestations of systemic disease, or signs of tumours or other anomalies of the brain.

Normally an eye examination takes about an hour as it requires many functional tests to determine the overall health of the eye. Some of the testing will cover a corneal analysis, nuerological disorders, ocular eye health condition, eye pressure, corneal thickness, endo thelial cell counts, slit-lamp examination, stereopsis, color vision, visual field screening, extraocular motilities focus, interpupillary distance, tonometry, visual acuity, near point of convergence, pupils and other tests to ensure good eye health. External examination of eyes consists of inspection of the eyelids, surrounding tissues and palpebral fissure. Palpation of the orbital rim may also be desirable, depending on the presenting signs and symptoms. The conjunctiva and sclera can be inspected by having the individual look up, and shining a light while retracting the upper or lower eyelid. The cornea and iris may be similarly reviewed and investigated. Some of the tests are also carried out by high resoultion cameras allowing optometrists to pinpoint conditions. Conditions diagnosed during eye examinations can include but are not limited to amblyopia, diplopia, myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia and strabismus.

For first time eye exam patients, it is imperative that a full and accurate medical history be divulged allowing the examiner to do a thorough investigation armed with the proper medical information.

Eyecare experts recommend that everyone have a complete eye exam every one to three years, depending on age, risk factors and physical condition. For children, some experts suggest that approximately one in 20 preschool children and one in four school-aged children have an eye problem that could cause permanent vision loss if left untreated. Children without symptoms and who are at low risk for eye problems should have their eyes screened by six months of age, then examined at age three and again at the start of school. Risk-free children should then continue to have their eyes examined at least every two years throughout school. The American Optometric Association also recommends an annual eye exam for all adults who wear either contact lenses or eyeglasses. If you don`t normally need vision correction, you still need to have an eye exam every one to two years up to the age of 40, depending on your visual change rate and your basic overall health. Doctors often recommend more frequent examinations for adults with diabetes, high blood pressure and other disorders, because many diseases can have an impact on the health of your eyes. It is recommended for senior patients to have at least one eye examination a year.

Once a thorough examination has been completed to determine the health of your eyes, the optometrist is then able to advise corrective measures to improve your vision if necessary. This could be either contact lenses or eyeglasses depending on the patient’s preference. Austin County Eye Associates has a full service optical shop on site to meet the needs of every patient from high fashion to everyday eyewear to a wide variety of contact lenses to ensure comfort. The sole purpose of the clinic is to provide better vision to its patients.
