How To Fix Your Lazy Eye

In this article you will learn how to fix your lazy eye with the help of vision techniques developed by William Bates. It?s a technique that was forgotten but it has surfaced once more and you can use it to cure your condition without going through surgery.

We as humans have two eyes. These eyes will produce two pictures of the scene you are looking at. It’s the mind’s task to then fuse these two pictures into one, and in order to do this the two eyes have to be in harmony with each other. The two eyes have to be parallel with each other in order for the mind to fuse the two pictures into a clear image you can recognize.

Lazy eye is when this harmony has been disturbed and your two eyes are not parallel with each other. The physical effect is called strabismus or squint and it produces the visual effect called amblyopia or lazy eye.

Now, this condition causes blurred vision, but it can also cause headache and be unpleasant for the appearance of the suffering person. You face and the eyes are your window to the surrounding world. Lack of symmetry in the face can feel shameful for some sufferers.

Now, how do you fix a lazy eye?

Back in the days they used to recommend surgery to the muscles that operated the eyes movements, but today it’s only advised as a last resort. This is because most surgery done to fix it is only cosmetic and in some cases will probably worsen the condition.

Soon they found that this method was not helping at all and there were lots of theories about what was causing this condition to appear. None proved to be successful.
One doctor named Dr. William Bates would be the one that stumbled upon the cure and the cause for lazy eye.

He found that in all cases of lazy eye there were some form of strain. And fixing this strain would lead to the curing of both the physical condition strabismus, and the visual condition amblyopia.

This strain could easily be fixed by getting the eye to relax. Dr. Bates found techniques he could apply to the condition and that would cure it perfectly.

You will find these techniques in the Vision Without Glasses Manual. It’s a manual written for our time because Dr. Bates died in 1931 and the language he used to describe his theories was very different than today. It was a bit hard for people today to understand.

But It has been rewritten and made available once again and few people knows about this.

In that manual there is a section on lazy eye and how to fix it. Basically it involves making the squint worse, and remembering a perfectly black period so that the lazy eye can relax. It can then be cured and the vision of that eye will return to normal.

Fix Lazy Eye With Eye Exercises Developed By William Bates

I find it a bit amuzing to read that scientists and doctors alike says that that lazy eye can?t be cured by no other means than Strabismus surgery.

It?s very strange in my opinion since we can heal the rest of our body with impressive certainty but the eyes seems to play in its league of their own.

We are told today that these types of conditions cannot be cured other than surgery. The nature has made a mistake and it’s the doctors job to undo that fault by surgery.

But you can fix lazy eye without surgery. The method will be described in this article.

Now this article is going to show you that strabismus surgery won’t help to restore your vision. It’s only cosmetic and often times it can make your vision worse than it was before.

For your convenience, Strabismus is the name that describes the physical condition of a squint. Amblyopia is the name that describes the visual condition of blurry vision caused by the squint.

A long time ago in the beginning of the 1900s there was a theory that the cause for this squint or strabismus was due to a lack of harmony in the muscles that operated the eye movements.

This theory was almost automatically recognized and people with the condition strabismus were told that it could be cured by adjusting these muscles. Lots of surgeries were performed but after a while this theory was dropped and surgery was only advised as a last resort. Apparently the surgery was not very effective in curing the visual impairment amblyopia, and only approximate when it come to correcting the strabismus.

Shortly after there was another theory that it wasn’t the muscles that produced the strabismus but the nerves who were controlling the muscles that were unbalanced.
This new theory quickly become popular and it was advised to neutralize the nerves that was causing the ailment. Surgery was advised but the outcome of this form of surgery was so unpredictable and It often made the problem worse.

A ophthalmologist named William Bates was researching vision problems and he had a different approach. He stated because these two theories was so unpredictable when it come to correcting them, that they weren’t targeting the real problem. His own conclusions was that the result of strabismus and amblyopia was a strain. He was laughed at because something so severe couldn’t have such a simple cause.

But he proved them wrong. He successfully treated a lot of patients suffering from amblyopia, and strabismus. He even cured patients with nearsightedness and farsightedness.
To treat strabismus effectively he said that you should try to worsen the squint. By doing so you could get the eye to relax leading to the relief of the strain that was causing the strabismus.

The resistance to his ideas was fierce. Many leading ophthalmologists laughed at his ideas and called them a hoax. There was even a law that prohibited his books to be held at the libraries. Soon people forgot about the techniques that Dr. Bates was suggesting and surgery was on the table again.

Surgery seems to be on the table still today but new light has shined thanks to the Internet. Dr. William Bates work has become available to everyone.

Christmas List Has Sunglasses On It?

Believe it or not wearing sunglasses over the christmas period could really be a key thing and it does sound like a strange thing to do. Why on earth does this happen?

Sunlight

It is very hard to believe that harmful UV lights can still push through the clouds and hit the earth surface. Just because it is cold on a sunny day it doesn?t mean that the sun isn?t as powerful so make sure that if the sun is out you are wearing those Sunglasses as they will really help you out. It is always best just to pop them on when it is sunny as the damage caused on the eyes by the sun can be really bad.

How can the sun damage my eyes through clouds and on cold days?

One of the major problems are that UV rays are invisible which means you can never tell if they are pushing through or not. Do not go too far with it though, there is simply no need to wear them if it is chucking it down outside but take them with you if it is cloudy in case the sun breaks through. What happens is that the UV light goes into the eyes and cause a reaction in the tissue. Once this damage has been done there is no way it can be reversed which is why it is so important that you wear those Ray Ban Sunglasses.

? Eye Disease
? The sun can play a really big role in these diseases:
? Cataract
? Pteryguim
? Skin Cancer
? Age- Related Macular Degeneration

So as you can see it is certainly worth getting those sunglasses out. If you already where glasses then do not worry as you can get Prescription Sunglasses that are made for the sun!

So in the chilly season this year make sure that you have your sunglasses in your pocket at the very least to make sure the eyes are fully protected.

Lazy Eye Treatment – How To Cure It Naturally

In this article you are going to read about Amblyopia treatment and what you can do to cure this vision ailment. There are lazy eye treatments for adults as well as for children.

Traditionally Amblyopia has been treated with eye patches and eye drops. For some odd reason ophthalmologists are claiming that Amblyopia is hard to treat after the age of 9 but I find this not to be true.

By relieving the strain that is the cause for Amblyopia you can get cured no matter how old or young you are.

Most commonly used in children is the treatment with an eye patch. A patch is placed on the stronger eye so that the eye with Amblyopia needs to develop its vision. Depending on how severe the Amblyopia is, then the eye patch needs to be worn all the time or just a part of the day.

Another Amblyopia treatment is to use eye drops or glasses to blur the vision of the dominant eye. This has the same effect as the eye patch treatment but doesn’t need you to use a eye patch. This form of treatment is also called penalization and it works best in persons who have mild Amblyopia. This is a treatment that may suit adults better, as going around with a eye patch might trigger some pirate jokes from relatives and co-workers.

An interesting thing is that new research has shown that eye exercises greatly speeds up the recovery of the Amblyopic eye. There was an study done that showed: By doing 1 hour of eye exercises along with wearing an eye patch for 2 hours was equal as 6 hours of wearing an eye patch.

This points at the direction of the most effective cure, which is exercising your eye to relieve the strain that’s causing the Amblyopia.

If you are an adult or have a child that has Amblyopia, then the most effective treatment is to use special eye exercises to get the Amblyopic eye to start working properly again.
These exercises are actually an old invention by an ophthalmologist named William Bates. He discovered that the cure for Amblyopia was in fact very simple. Most ophthalmologists during his time claimed that there was a malfunction of the muscles and the nerves of the eye, and the only cure was to perform surgery.

Bates didn’t agree and he successfully cured hundreds of patients, both children and adults who had Amblyopia. His methods was simple as he said that there was a strain that was causing the weak vision. The relief of the strain could be done by doing special eye exercises.

One of these exercises was to consciously make the squint worse. By learning how to do this his patients could experience clear vision. The blurry vision would return in a few seconds but he said that the permanent cure was to make this temporary state of clear vision permanent and that this was obtain by practice.

The Most Effective Vision Impairment Solution

Migraine, eyestrain, inability to focus are ordinary symptoms of visual impairment; and an appointment to the eye specialist is recommended. Folks who sit at a desk eight hours a day may eventually suffer astigmatism from consistently hurting the eyes at the computer. Astigmatism is a familiar condition which can either be inborn or result from poor work habits and posture. Used to amend improper corneal curvature, astigmatism LASIK surgery can effectively bring back 20/20 vision in majority of cases. Laser in-situ keratomileusis, or LASIK, is a complex but effective procedure for fixing nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism, or hazy vision caused by asymmetrical curvatures in the surface of the cornea.

Drugs Used In Ocular Cure

The ophthalmologist has to be alert to the possibility of interaction between his therapy, be it topical or systemic, and the generics which the patient may be receiving for other conditions. Adverse ocular reactions due to systemic generic therapy will be discussed together in a future volume; much of this information is, however, currently to be found in the various chapters of Meyler’s Side Effects of Drugs.

The mechanism of the hypotensive effect during beta-adrenergic blockade in hypertension was studied in 40 patients with renal or essential hypertension using the new cardioselective beta blocker, Tenormin. A subsequent follow-up on an outpatient basis of 15 of the patients showed that when the active generic was replaced by a placebo arterial hypertension rose again, confirming that the initial fall in blood pressure was a genuine effect. The autonomic nervous system is divided into the parasympathetic and sympathetic systems, with three types of adrenergic receptors: alpha (smooth muscle contraction), beta1 (cardiac acceleration and fatty acid mobilization) and beta2 (smooth muscle relaxation). Substances affecting the function of the adrenergic system are the agonists or stimulators, which mimic the effects of endogenous norepinephrine or epinephrine, and antagonists or blockers, which block the receptors and prevent stimulation by the agonists. Autonomic stimulation in the eye mediates various changes which apparently affect outflow facility and rate of formation of aqueous humor. Alteration of either or both of these factors by autonomic agonists or antagonists may have a direct or an indirect effect on intraocular pressure. Beta-adrenergic blocking substances have been used to treat a variety of diseases. Some of the effects of these generic drugs are attributable to properties other than beta blockade, such as intrinsic sympathomimetic activity and local anaesthetic activity. Side effects of this class of generic drugs require caution in cases of congestive heart failure and in asthmatics. Autonomic agents used in the cure of ocular hypertension and glaucoma include pilocarpine, a cholinergic agonist, epinephrine, an adrenergic agonist, and various beta adrenergic blockers or antagonists including propranolol, atenolol and timolol. The physico-chemical properties and pharmacokinetics of timolol are reviewed. Data showing a significant reduction in intraocular pressure as a result of ocular instillation of timolol are presented. Reduction of the rate of aqueous formation appears to be the mechanism of action. A low incidence of non-serious side effects is reported.

The pathogenesis of migraine is not completely understood but may involve vasodilation of cerebral blood vessels and/or the release of vasoactive neuropeptides (ie, norepinephrine) from the perivascular axons in the dura mater after activation of the trigeminovascular system. Many environmental factors and physiologic influences may provoke a migraine or increase its severity. The typical migraine headache without aura is unilateral, pulsating, of moderate-to-severe intensity, and aggravated by physical activity. Migraine prevention is best achieved by avoidance of known migraine triggers or enhancers and by reducing the amount of lifestyle stressors. Pharmacotherapeutic options in the cure of migraine are discussed herein.
